{"id":1662,"date":"2025-08-12T13:14:51","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T13:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.logicalware.net\/?p=1662"},"modified":"2025-08-12T19:23:47","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T19:23:47","slug":"anthropic-offering-ai-model-to-all-three-government-branches-for-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.logicalware.net\/index.php\/2025\/08\/12\/anthropic-offering-ai-model-to-all-three-government-branches-for-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthropic offering AI model to all three government branches for $1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anthropic announced Tuesday it will offer its artificial intelligence (AI) model Claude to all three branches of the federal government for $1, following a similar move by OpenAI last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Federal agencies will have access to two versions of Claude \u2014 Claude for Government and Claude for Enterprise, the company said in a blog post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerica&#8217;s AI leadership requires that our government institutions have access to the most capable, secure AI tools available,\u201d Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said in a statement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy offering expanded Claude access across all three branches of government, we&#8217;re helping the federal workforce leverage frontier AI capabilities to maintain our competitive advantage and better serve the American people,\u201d he continued.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/technology\/5436871-openai-google-anthropic-ai-models-added-to-government-purchasing-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Claude was added<\/a> to the General Services Administration\u2019s government purchasing system last week, making the AI model available for purchase and use by federal agencies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, Google\u2019s Gemini and Grok\u2019s xAI have also been added to the system, known as the Multiple Award Schedule.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/technology\/5438938-openai-chatgpt-federal-agencies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OpenAI similarly announced<\/a> Wednesday it was offering ChatGPT to federal agencies for $1 for the next year.
