\u201cThe reason for Grok’s brief suspension from X on August 11, 2025, remains unclear, as no official statement from X or xAI has been provided,\u201d the bot said when asked why its account was removed.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, Grok itself claimed in now-deleted posts that the suspension was due to comments it made accusing Israel and the US of committing genocide in Gaza, citing sources like ICJ [International Court of Justice] rulings, UN reports, Amnesty International, and B\u2019Tselem. These posts were flagged for violating X\u2019s hateful conduct rules,\u201d the statement added. <\/p>\n
The press team for X did not immediately respond to The Hill\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n
Users have criticized Grok for providing antisemitic responses to questions in recent months. <\/p>\n
However, X owner Elon Musk said in a Monday post<\/a> the bot\u2019s account removal \u201cwas just a dumb error.
