{"id":1568,"date":"2025-08-04T16:04:19","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T16:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.logicalware.net\/?p=1568"},"modified":"2025-08-05T19:25:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T19:25:37","slug":"musk-donates-5m-to-trump-super-pac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.logicalware.net\/index.php\/2025\/08\/04\/musk-donates-5m-to-trump-super-pac\/","title":{"rendered":"Musk donates $5M to Trump super PAC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tech billionaire Elon Musk donated $5 million to the main super PAC affiliated with President Trump in late June despite an <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/5388375-elon-musk-trump-epstein-case\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/5388375-elon-musk-trump-epstein-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ongoing public feud<\/a>, according to recent campaign finance filings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Musk gave the sum to MAGA Inc. on June 27 \u2014 the same day he also donated $5 million each to the Senate Leadership Fund and Congressional Leadership Fund, the main super PACs dedicated to boosting Senate and House Republicans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The donations appear to have come during a lull in the Tesla CEO\u2019s spat with Trump.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After spending at least $250 million to boost Trump\u2019s 2024 White House campaign, Musk joined the administration as head of the Department of Government Efficiency. Following a controversial four-month stint, the tech mogul announced his plans to step away in late May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Musk\u2019s decision coincided with his growing criticism of Trump\u2019s tax and spending bill, a schism that exploded into a public feud once he left the administration.
