Russia has continued its offensive, killing at least 22 people in Ukraine by launching ballistic missiles and glide bombs into multiple cities despite President Trump\u2019s threats to slap sanctions and shorten the timeline<\/a> for Moscow to agree to a ceasefire. <\/p>\n Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that 73 cities and villages came under Russia\u2019s overnight attack, including a hospital in Kamyanske and a correctional facility in the Zaporizhzhia region. <\/p>\n Russia\u2019s military struck the city hospital in Kamyanske, killing three people, including a pregnant woman, according to Zelensky. <\/p>\n \u201cLate yesterday, near midnight, Russian aircraft dropped bombs on the grounds of a correctional colony in the Zaporizhzhia region,\u201d Zelensky said in a Tuesday morning post<\/a> on social media platform X. <\/p>\n \u201cIt was a deliberate strike, intentional, not accidental. The Russians could not have been unaware that they were targeting civilians in that facility,” he added. “Many were killed, and another 43 people were wounded, some of them with very severe injuries.\u201d <\/p>\n Trump said Monday during his trip to Scotland that he would move up the timeline to impose sanctions against Russia to \u201cabout 10 or 12 days from today,\u201d telling reporters that, \u201cwe just don\u2019t see any progress being made.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou have bodies lying all over the street. And I say that\u2019s not the way to do it. So we\u2019ll see what happens with that. I\u2019m very disappointed. I\u2019m disappointed in President Putin,\u201d the president said, standing alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.<\/p>\n When asked about the president\u2019s remarks, Putin\u2019s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin has \u201ctaken note\u201d of Trump\u2019s statement. <\/p>\n “We remain committed to a peace process to resolve the conflict around Ukraine and to ensure our interests in the course of this settlement,\u201d Peskov told reporters on Tuesday, according<\/a> to Reuters. <\/p>\n
